Install the Codex Plugin

Ask Codex to help install the package, or follow the manual steps.

The Codex Plugin ZIP supports macOS Apple Silicon only. Other platforms must not install this ZIP; their 1.0.5 package remains available through legacy download links, which redirect here. Read the bundled README and complete the separate plugin login before installing it in Codex.

Install manually

  1. 01 / Download Plugin

    macOS Apple Silicon ZIP

    Download the Codex Plugin for macOS Apple Silicon. The CLI downloads are a separate option.

  2. 02 / Extract and sign in

    Read the ZIP README

    Follow the Plugin Setup Guide step by step to extract the downloaded ZIP and read its README. From the directory containing framia/, run ./framia/bin/framia --environment prod auth plugin-login. It opens your browser for sign-in and workspace/permission selection; if it cannot, use the URL printed in the terminal.

  3. 03 / Install and verify

    Connect the plugin

    Register the extracted plugin in a Codex local marketplace and install it. Quit and reopen Codex, open a new chat and list your projects. This local bridge does not use the old host Authenticate button.

Connect Framia to Claude

Use a remote MCP connector in Claude on the web or desktop.

Connect step by step

  1. 01 / Add connector

    Open Claude Connectors

    Open Customize → Connectors, then + Add or Add custom connector. Name it Framia, enter the URL below and continue through the detected authentication settings.

  2. 02 / Sign in

    Choose your workspace

    Choose Sign in now and Use Claude’s published identity, then finish adding the connector. Sign in to Framia, then choose your workspace and permissions. Team/Enterprise users may need an organization owner to enable the connector first.

  3. 03 / Verify

    Try a read-only call

    Start a new chat and enable Framia under + → Connectors. Ask Claude to read the projects guide and list at most one project. A real tool result, including an empty list, confirms the connection.

Read-only verification does not run a generation task.

CLI Downloads

Use Framia from the terminal. Choose the version that matches your operating system and processor. The ZIP contains the binary, Install.md and SHA256SUMS. Extract it, verify the files as instructed, then install from the terminal. A ZIP archive is not an Apple signature.
