# Connect Framia to Claude

This guide covers **Claude on the web and Claude Desktop**. Claude connects to
the remote MCP server from its cloud service. You do not need the Codex Plugin
ZIP, a local CLI, or a Claude Code command for this setup.

## 1. Add the connector yourself

Open [Claude's Connectors settings](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors). For an individual
account, choose **+ Add** or **Add custom connector**. Some interfaces put
Connectors under Settings. For Team/Enterprise, the organization owner uses
**Organization settings > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web** first.

- Name: **Framia**
- Remote MCP server URL: https://framia-web.dev.knoffice.tech/multimodal/mcp

After entering the name and URL, choose **Continue**, review the detected
authentication settings, then **Continue** again if shown. Set authentication
to **Sign in now** and OAuth client to **Use Claude's published identity
(Recommended)**, then choose **Add** to finish creating the connector.

Leave optional OAuth Client ID and Client Secret fields blank when using Claude's
published identity. Do not paste Framia API keys, tokens, or another host's client
ID into these fields. If Claude reports unsupported client identity, registration,
or callback, stop and report that error to the Framia maintainer.

Custom connectors are currently available on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and
Enterprise. Free permits one custom connector. For Team/Enterprise, an
organization owner must first add/enable the connector for the organization;
members then connect their own Framia account. If the control is absent, check
your account and organization settings rather than changing local config files.

## 2. Connect and authorize Framia

Choose **Connect** or complete **Sign in now**. In the browser, sign in to your
Framia account and choose the workspace and permissions yourself. An existing
login does not select a workspace or grant permissions for this connection.
The read-only test below needs project-read access. Return to Claude after
authorization completes. You may cancel or deny consent at any point.

For an account/workspace error, complete normal Framia registration or ask
the workspace administrator for membership. For a Cloudflare/security challenge,
complete the normal browser check yourself; report a server-side connection
block instead of disabling protections. Do not share credentials or callback
URLs containing OAuth codes or state.

## 3. Enable it in a chat and verify

Start a new Claude chat. Open **+ > Connectors** and enable **Framia** for
that chat if it is not already enabled. Paste this read-only test:

> Use only the Framia connector. Call framia_guide with topic projects, then
> call framia_projects_list with page 1 and page_size 1. Report whether the real
> tool calls succeeded and how many projects were returned. Do not create,
> modify or delete anything, and do not run a generation task. If the tools are
> unavailable or return an error, report that result without claiming success.

A successful empty project list is valid. A saved connector, successful browser
login, or a text-only answer is not a successful MCP tool test. If tools are
missing, check connector enablement and retry once in a new chat. Keep the
public error and host version for diagnosis; redact tokens, codes and state.

## Ask Claude to guide you

Copy this into a Claude chat for step-by-step help:

Read https://mcp-dev.framia.pro/install/claude.md and guide me through connecting Framia to Claude. Use https://framia-web.dev.knoffice.tech/multimodal/mcp as a custom Web connector with Claude's published OAuth identity. Wait while I add it, sign in and choose my workspace and permissions. After I confirm the connector is enabled in this chat, read Framia's projects guide and list at most one project to verify the connection.

The chat can explain these steps and test tools after connection. You perform
the connector setup, browser sign-in, workspace selection and authorization.
This guide does not install a connector automatically or grant access.
